The meaning of pansy flower
Main types of pansies: clear-faced and monkey-faced. The monkey-faced variety has a dark blotch in the middle of the face. Pansies are available in a wide assortment of colors, such as, yellow, brown, blue, red, white, maroon, and orange, among others.
Pansy blooms are single with five petals that are rounded in shape. Pansy flowers have one of three basic color patterns; single, with clear color (such as yellow or blue pansy); single color having black lines radiating from its center; and with dark center usually called "face".
pansies were widely cultivated in the nineteenth century. A perfect pansy, it was thought, had deep clear color, a circular skirt, a variegated fringe, and a single, bright, central eye.
